Ranger walk at Lepe Country Park
Many of the 125,000 waders, ducks and geese that spend the winter on the Solent coast are now starting to arrive on our shores. Come find out why! Join us on a leisurely walk around Lepe Country Park as we talk about why the Solent coast is a crucial habitat for these birds. We will stop at suitable points to look and listen for birds. We will learn to identify them and talk about the challenges these birds face in a modern world.
Meet at 10:00 in the Lookout Cafe by the ranger station.
This walk is aimed at beginner birders.
We will be walking on uneven ground and on sand. Please wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather. Binoculars will be available to borrow.
No need to sign up, this is a FREE drop in activity.
Usual parking charges apply.
