Ranger Julie’s monthly Lepe Walk – December
Join Ranger Julie on a leisurely walk around Lepe Country Park. We will discover the often hidden world of overwintering waders, ducks and geese who must not only survive winter here but ensure they stock up on enough food to complete long migrations. We will learn to identify these birds, talk about their ecology and learn how we can help them thrive.
This walk is intended for anyone who loves spending time on the coast: you do not need to know anything about birds. Children are welcome and there will be binoculars available to borrow.
Meeting place: Meet in front of the Lookout Cafe at Lepe Country Park.

Accessibility: The walk will be at a gentle pace but we will be walking along the beach on shingle and stones where the ground is uneven.
Dogs: We welcome well behaved dogs on our walks but they must be kept on a short lead at all times.
Clothing: Please wear sturdy/sensible shoes and dress appropriately for the weather (we advise warm layers and a waterproof coat).
There is no need to book, this is a FREE drop-in activity. The event will be limited to 20 people maximum and we will operate on a first come first serve basis.
