Photographing nature with phones – making the most of your mobile

 

Join us for golden hour at beautiful Hill Head to learn how to get the most out of your mobile phone when taking photos of the natural world.

This event is aimed at beginners. We’ll look at digiscoping, basic shot composition, technical aspects of phone photography and choosing a subject. Participants will also receive a short guide to basic editing, which will be emailed out after the event.

Booking details: This event is free, but places are limited so booking is essential. To book your place, email ranger Richie at richie.ainger@hants.gov.uk

Equipment: You will need to bring your own smart phone with built-in camera. The rangers leading the session will supply telescopes for digiscoping.

Directions and meeting point: We will meet at Hove-To car park, Hill Head, Fareham PO14 3JT. There is additional roadside parking on Cliff Road.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour.

Accessibility: There will be minimal walking on easy terrain. Disabled parking and toilets are available in Hove-To car park. 

Dogs: We will be standing in one place for most of the session, so dogs may get cold and bored.

Clothing: Please ensure that you have sturdy/sensible shoes and dress appropriately for the weather (we advise warm layers and a waterproof coat).

Our outdoor walks and activities are weather dependant. We aim to let you know by email in good time if a walk is cancelled due to bad weather. Please check your emails before leaving home.
