Phone photography walk at Yarmouth
Join us for a short and gentle walk in beautiful Yarmouth and learn how to get the most out of your mobile phone when taking photos of the natural world.
This event is aimed at those who are new to, or less-experienced at birdwatching and photography. We’ll look at digiscoping, basic shot composition, technical aspects of phone photography and choosing a subject. Participants will also receive a short guide to basic editing, which will be emailed out after the event.
And don’t forget to submit your best shots into our photography competition (closing date 28 February).
Families and children are always welcome (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Bring binoculars if you have them but don’t worry if you don’t, you can enjoy views of the birds through the ranger’s telescopes.
This walk is free to attend but booking is required as numbers are limited so please reserve your place by emailing Ranger Charlotte at Charlotte.Goswell@hants.gov.uk

Duration: The walk is around a mile long in total and will last for up to 2 hours at a leisurely pace with regular stops.
Accessibility: This is an outdoor event in a public space. Whilst we will be following the footpath, some of it is uneven in places. Winter weather can also mean wet or muddy conditions so sensible footwear is required.
Dogs: We welcome well behaved dogs on our walks but they must be kept on a short lead at all times.
Clothing: Please wear sturdy/sensible shoes and dress appropriately for the weather (we advise warm layers and a waterproof coat).
Our outdoor walks and activities are weather dependant. We aim to let you know by email in good time if a walk is cancelled due to bad weather. Please check your emails before leaving home.
