Lymington Keyhaven Nature Reserve – Winter Wildlife Walk

Join our friendly rangers to see what wildlife we can spot around the Normandy Lagoon area of the Lymington Keyhaven Nature Reserve.

This is a relatively short and gentle walk with plenty of time to stop and enjoy the wonderful wildlife that can be seen around our coast at this time of year. Our rangers will be on hand to guide and show you the birds spotted along the way.

The walk is aimed at those who are new to, or less-experienced at bird watching. Families and children are always welcome (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Bring binoculars if you have them but don’t worry if you don’t, you can enjoy views of the birds through the ranger’s telescopes. The rangers also have spare binoculars for your use.

Some of the species we might see include dark-bellied brent geese, wigeon, dunlin, oystercatcher, black-tailed godwit and greenshank and many more – you might even see the Spoonbills!

Booking details: All our walks are free, but booking is required as places are limited, so please reserve your place by emailing Ranger Tony: anthony.knox@hants.gov.uk
