Lymington Keyhaven Guided Birdwatching Walk
Join our friendly rangers to see what wildlife we can spot around Normandy Lagoon, Lymington Keyhaven Nature Reserve. The lagoon is a fantastic place to spot coastal birds particularly overwintering waders, ducks and geese that arrive here for the winter months.
We will learn to identify these birds, talk about their ecology and learn about how we can help them thrive. The walk is intended for anyone who loves spending time on the coast: you don’t need to know anything about birds. Families and children are always welcome (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Bring binoculars if you have them but don’t worry if you don’t, you can enjoy views of the birds through the ranger’s telescopes.
Some of the species we might see include dark-bellied brent geese, wigeon, dunlin, oystercatcher, black-tailed godwit, redshank, turnstone and greenshank.
All of our walks are free to attend, but booking is required as places are limited.
