Lymington Keyhaven Guided Birdwatching Walk
Part of the Great Coastal Birdwatch
To celebrate the New Forest Walking Festival, alongside the Great Coastal Birdwatch, join our friendly rangers to see what wildlife we can spot around Normandy Lagoon, at Lymington Keyhaven Nature Reserve. It’s a fantastic place to watch birds during the bustling nesting season.
We will learn to identify these birds, talk about their ecology and learn about how we can help them thrive.
The walk is intended for anyone who loves spending time on the coast: you don’t need to know anything about birds.
Families and children are always welcome (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).
Bring binoculars if you have them but don’t worry if you don’t, we can supply a few pairs for your use. You can also enjoy views of the birds through the ranger’s telescopes.
Some of the species we might see include lapwings, redshanks, oystercatchers, common terns, little terns and Mediterranean gulls.
All of our walks are free to attend, but booking is required as places are limited. (see below).
