Lepe Junior Birdwatching Session

Come and join our friendly rangers at Lepe Country Park for a birdwatching session. This event is aimed at young people between the ages of 7 years and 15 years old who would like to get into birdwatching, or for those who already have an interest but would like to develop it further.

The session will last an hour and take place in the bird hide overlooking dark water lagoon.

We’ll look at the migration routes of some of the wintering birds, why they come to the Solent, and discuss what we can do to help the birds thrive while they are here.

We will provide a Spotter’s guide and pencil for you to identify and record the birds you see.

Binoculars will be available to use and there will be telescopes too.

Booking

There will be two sessions running from 10:00 until 11:00 and 11:00 until 12:00.

Booking a place on one of the sessions is essential, and please note that a parent or guardian will be required to stay with your child throughout the session.
