In celebration of Art Fest 2026, the rangers will be hosting a sketching workshop alongside artist Francesca Page.
Francesca Page is a UK-based visual artist working across mediums such as Illustration, painting, photojournalism and writing. She studied Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, and combines her passion for visual storytelling with conservation to connect people to the natural world. She has worked with clients such as Netflix, PADI, Lime, The Wildlife Trust and Blue Marine Foundation.
Free your creative mind and learn to draw the natural world with energy, feeling, and movement. Francesca will guide you on a journey to loosen your sketching techniques and discover new ways of seeing, helping you draw with greater confidence and a sense of play.
During the workshop, the rangers will be on hand to give an introduction to the world of migratory birds along the Solent, stories about the birds we will be sketching, and how we can all help these birds to thrive during our busy nesting months.
We welcome artists from all backgrounds – whether you are a seasoned pro or a complete novice – come along and take part!
