A beginner’s guide to birds by the coast – small waders (online talk)
POSTPONED: IF YOU’VE BOOKED TO TAKE PART, WE’LL BE CONTACTING YOU
Join us for our monthly virtual birdwatching trip around the Solent coast. Back by popular demand we will be revisiting the topic of small wading birds and will be looking at: sanderling, dunlin, ringed plover and turnstone.
This is a free online talk aimed at beginner birdwatchers.
- Learn about some of the bird species who call our coast their winter home
- Find out about some of the incredible migrations birds make to get here
- Improve your bird identification skills with tips and tricks
- Become a ‘bird aware birdwatcher’ by learning about our coastal code and why it’s important for protecting wildlife
Please note the content will be similar to that of our previous small waders talk we ran in February earlier this year.
We will be using Zoom for this talk.

Joining a Zoom meeting
You don’t need a Zoom account if you’re joining a meeting as a participant – you only need one if you want to create your own meetings.
