Take a peak at our first ever short video.
We are excited to announce the launch of our very first Bird Aware Solent video, produced for us by students from Southampton Solent University.
At Bird Aware we work within a partnership of 19 organisations, we cover 254km of coastline, which receives around 52 million visitors per year and we are protecting more than 100,000 coastal birds over the winter months. So the students had a big task to summarise all this in a 3 minute video!
Their brief was to introduce Bird Aware Solent, the birdlife of the Solent, and why they need our help in an interesting and engaging film. The ranger team helped out by taking the students to a variety of spots around the Solent including Emsworth, Hayling Island, Langstone, and Warsash. We were able to see and film lots of different bird species as well as lots of people enjoying different activities along the coast.
We invite you to take a look at the finished film for yourself. If you like what you see then please help us to spread the Bird Aware message and share this with your friends and family via social media. If you have any questions or comments please get in touch via the contact us page.
We would like to thank the students from Southampton Solent University, the local experts who volunteered their time to appear in the video, and the many members of the public who kindly agreed to appear on film for us. We are very grateful for their kind assistance.
