This winter, the ranger team was expanded to four.
The rangers spend their time out and about on the Solent coast and are always glad to talk to people they meet. If you don’t bump into them face to face you can connect with them on Twitter and Facebook or use the ‘contact us’ section on the website.
Karima is the lead ranger and her favourite spot on the Solent is at Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve. She loves swimming and in the summer swims in the Solent.
Charlotte collects beach glass and turns it into art in her spare time. She’s loves visiting Lymington-Keyhaven nature reserve best.
Chris can point out the difference between a grey plover and a golden plover standing on a grey mudflat on a grey, wet and windy day. He has also completed the entire 60-mile Solent Way.
Vicky is the Island ranger, and loves watching sanderlings and ringed plovers on Ryde Sands. In the summer she’s a sailor and spends most of the time at sea, messing about on boats.
