Photography and Videography Policy and Consent

Your privacy is very important to Bird Aware Essex, as it is to you. We are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy when you interact with us and use our services and venues. We want you to feel confident that we are serious about any concerns surrounding the security and safeguarding of your personal information, which includes your image (such as in photograph or film format).

We want to only use images of you with your consent, and we promise we will not use your image for anything that may be viewed as negative in tone or that may cause offense, embarrassment or distress. Any names or other personal information will not be displayed with the image unless additional permission has been requested for this (such as for press photography). You have the right to ask us to stop using your image at any time (by emailing info.essex@birdaware.org ) in which case it will not be used in future publications but may continue to appear on those already in circulation.

We are hosted by Chelmsford City Council. You can find out more about the Privacy Policies, including how and why we collect personal data (including images), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it by visiting this website www.chelmsford.gov.uk/privacy . We will hold on to photos for five years from the event at which they were taken or until consent is withdrawn.

By opting in and/or signing a photo permission form for yourself or those under the age of 16 years old whom you are responsible for, you give permission for Bird Aware Essex Coast to use photos and videos in the following ways:

Electronic (incl. Online) and printed information, displays and exhibitions relating to the activity, event and/or project shown in the picture, any similar campaign or related area.

I understand that this image will NOT be used for anything which may be viewed as negative in tone or that may cause offense, embarrassment or distress.
