How to Identify Me
Kingfishers are elusive and challenging to spot when in flight. It’s much more easy to spot their striking and regal plumage of blue, green and copper when they’re perched and scouting the waters. Try listening out for their distinctive, piping call to know that they may be nearby.
How Can You Help Me?
Make sure to give them lots of space if you see them perched by the waters edge. Kingfishers need ample time to hunt so any disturbance has a significant impact on their ability to survive. Additionally, avoid letting dogs charge through riverbanks as this can both disturb kingfishers and destroy their nests.
